Forte Circuit and Resonance Skill
Jinhsi operates through three distinct states, unlocking different basic attacks and resonance skills.
Let’s break them down:
- Normal State
- Incarnation State
- Ordination Glow State
Normal State:
In her Normal state, Jinhsi can perform up to 4 basic attacks akin to other resonators.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Basic Attacks: Up to 4 consecutive strikes.
- Resonance Skill (E1): Dashes forward, executing consecutive strikes that deal Spectro Damage.
After performing 4 basic attacks, a new skill becomes available for 5 seconds:
Overflowing Radiance (E2):
Activates after 4 basic attacks, allowing Jinhsi to enter the Incarnation State, dealing Spectro damage and performing a mid-air dash.
The best part?
Jinhsi doesn’t need to land all 4 basic attacks. Simply casting them makes E2 available.
Incarnation State
In the Incarnation State, Jinhsi’s combat capabilities elevate significantly:
- Consecutive Strikes: Up to 4 strikes, all considered Resonance Skill Damage.
- Unlimited Mid-Air Dodges: As long as she has stamina, Jinhsi can dodge mid-air indefinitely.
- Crescent Divinity (E3): Unlocks in this state, allowing Jinhsi to dash forward, dealing Spectro Damage to enemies in a small AoE. This skill has a higher damage multiplier than E1 or E2 and recovers 8 concerto energy on hit.
Ordination Glow State
After the 4th strike in the Incarnation State, Jinhsi transitions to the Ordination Glow State:
- Illuminous Epiphany (E4): This skill deals six consecutive Spectro damage hits, culminating in a high-damage final hit and recovering 20 concerto energy. After using this skill, Jinhsi gains Unison.
- Unison: After using E4, you can activate her outro skill and the incoming character’s intro skill without consuming concerto energy or needing a full concerto energy bar. Note that Unison can only trigger once every 25 seconds.
Incandescence
Incandescence is a crucial mechanic for maximizing the damage output of Jinhsi’s Illuminous Epiphany (E4).
Here’s a quick overview of what Incandescence is:
- Boosts Damage: Incandescence significantly enhances the damage of Jinhsi’s E4.
- Forte Gauge: Monitor your Incandescence stacks via the Forte Gauge above your HP bar.
- Maximum Stacks: Jinhsi can accumulate up to 50 stacks.
- Damage Increase: At level 10 Forte Circuit, each stack increases E4 damage by 44.54%.
How to Accumulate Incandescence Stacks
- Active Character Damage: Jinhsi gains 1 stack whenever any party member deals damage, including herself.
- Coordinated Attacks: Gains 2 stacks when a party member performs a coordinated attack.
- Attribute Limitation: Jinhsi can only acquire 1 stack from the same attribute every 3 seconds. For example, even if Yinlin’s Resonance Liberation deals multiple instances of Electro damage, Jinhsi only gains 1 stack from all of them. This is also applicable to Coordinated Attacks but…
- Independent Cooldowns: Incandescence stacks from coordinated attacks and active character damage work on separate 3-second cooldowns.
This means you can generate stacks from both sources simultaneously without interference.
Regardless of the element, coordinated attacks can generate 2 stacks on top of the 1 stack from your active character.
For example, Verina’s coordinated attack will work with Jinhsi’s attacks while on-field and will generate 3 stacks in total, even though Verina has the same element as Jinhsi.
The same number of stacks will be generated even if you use Yuanwu or Mortefi to perform the coordinated attacks with Jinhsi.
In retrospect, your active character cannot generate more than 1 stack of Incandescence if the attribute is of the same element.
For example, if Yinlin is your active character, she cannot generate more than 1 stack of Incandescence within 3 seconds, even though her attacks have multiple hits.
Jinhsi’s Outro and Intro Skills
Outro Skill: Accelerates Incandescence
- Effect: Jinhsi’s Outro Skill accelerates Incandescence stack accumulation by reducing the stacking cooldown from 3 seconds to 1 second.
- Duration: This effect lasts for 20 seconds.
- Downtime: In theory, there is only a 5-second downtime due to the Unison effect from casting her E4 resonance skill.
Intro Skill: Plunging Attack
- Description: Jinhsi’s Intro Skill involves attacking from mid-air with the spirit of Jue and plunging to the ground.
- Damage Scaling: It has decent damage scaling.
- Energy Recovery: Recovers 10 concerto energy on a successful hit.
Jinhsi’s Resonance Liberation
Jinhsi’s resonance liberation is a straightforward yet devastating skill in Wuthering Waves.
- Damage Scaling: It boasts one of the highest damage scalings in the game.
- Cooldown: Comes with a 24-second cooldown.
- Energy Cost: Requires 150 energy to cast, which is on the higher end compared to other skills.
- Fit in Kit: Despite its high cost and cooldown, it complements Jinhsi’s kit perfectly, synergizing well with her Resonance Skill for massive damage.
- Energy Recovery: Recovers 20 concerto energy upon hit.
Best Sonata Sets for Jinhsi:
Celestial Light Set (5-piece):
- Advantages: Hands down Jinhsi’s best Sonata set.
- Details: Provides optimal damage output.
Lingering Tunes Set (5-piece):
- Advantages: Also a strong choice.
- Details: Offers competitive damage scaling.
- Full Stack Effect: Damage difference is approximately 3% compared to Celestial Light, assuming all sub-stats are equal.
- Drawbacks: Takes 6 seconds to reach full stack, and Jinhsi won’t benefit from the Outro Skill damage boost.
Hybrid Set Option:
- 2-piece Lingering Tunes + 2-piece Celestial Light:
- Advantages: Provides solid damage output.
- Details: Comparable overall damage to a full Lingering Tunes set.
- Suitability: Ideal as a temporary set while waiting for optimal main stats on Celestial Light pieces.
Full Celestial Light maximizes damage potential while Lingering Tunes offers flexibility with a slightly delayed ramp-up time. Consider your immediate and long-term goals when selecting the ideal set for Jinhsi.
Echo Build
Main Stats
Standard Setup (4, 3, 3, 1, 1):
- Advantage: Yields the highest potential damage output.
- Details: Prioritize Crit Rate or Crit Damage for your 4-cost echo, depending on your weapon choice.
Here are the recommended main stats if you choose to go 43311 build:
Echoes | Recommended Main Stat |
---|---|
4-Cost Echo | Crit Rate or Crit Damage |
3-Cost Echo | Spectro Damage Bonus Or Spectro + Attack% |
1-Cost Echo | Attack % |
Alternative Build (4, 4, 1, 1, 1):
- Advantage: Easier farming of main stats.
- Details: Prioritize Crit Rate or Crit Damage on your 4-cost echo, and Attack Percent for all 1-cost echoes.
- Comparison: Expect about a 10% decrease in damage compared to the standard setup (4, 3, 3, 1, 1).
Here are the recommended main stats if you choose to go the 44111 build:
Echoes | Recommended Main Stat |
---|---|
4-Cost Echo | Crit Rate or Crit Damage |
1-Cost Echo | Attack % |
Sub-Stats
To maximize Jinhsi’s potential, follow this priority order for sub-stats:
- Crit Rate and Crit Damage
- Energy Regeneration (at least 30%)
- Attack Percent
- Resonance Skill Damage
- Resonance Liberation Damage
Important Considerations:
- If you have Jinhsi’s signature weapon, it greatly boosts her resonance skill damage, making it more beneficial to focus on Attack sub-stats to avoid diminishing returns.
- Without the signature weapon, focus more on getting resonance skill damage sub-stats over attack percent sub-stats to maintain high damage output.
Level 90 Stat Roadmap
To help you better visualize your final stats for Jinhsi, here’s a quick stat roadmap:
Stat | Recommended |
---|---|
Cri Rate | At least 70% |
Crit Damage | At least 200% |
Energy Regen | 130% or more |
Attack | 1800+ or more |
Since the game is pretty new, you probably won’t be able to attain these stats for now.
But it should be pretty easy to attain once you get to a higher Union level.

Given the distribution of Jinhsi’s damage, focusing on the following skills will optimize her performance:
- Forte Circuit
- Resonance Liberation
- Resonance Skill,
- Basic Attack
- And then Intro Skill
Resonance Chain Guide for Jinhsi
In this section, we will delve into the intricacies of Jinhsi’s Resonance Chain, breaking down the benefits and mechanics of each sequence (S1-S6). This guide will help you maximize her potential in various combat scenarios.
S1: Enhancing Luminous Epiphany
- Additional Mechanics: S1 boosts Jinhsi’s Luminous Epiphany skill (E4) by providing extra mechanics.
- Herald of Revival Stacks: During Incarnation Mode, each basic attack or resonance skill grants Jinhsi a stack of Herald of Revival.
- Damage Boost: These stacks are consumed when casting Luminous Epiphany, with each stack increasing its damage by 20%. At full stack, this results in an 80% damage boost.
- Consistency: The boost applies on cast, not hit, ensuring a consistent 80% boost since you’d need to perform four basic attacks to gain Ordination Glow anyway.
S2: Automatic Incandescence Stacks
- Ease of Use: With S2 unlocked, generating Incandescence stacks becomes unnecessary in the open world.
- Automatic Stacks: When out of combat for 4 seconds, Jinhsi automatically gains 50 stacks.
- Battle Scenarios: In challenging battles like Hologram Bosses or Tower Adversity, the combat mode doesn’t stop, but you can start these battles with a full stack, providing a significant advantage.
S3: Enhanced Intro Skill
- Attack Boost: Jinhsi’s Sequence 3 increases her attack by 25% via her Intro skill, which can stack twice.
- Synergy: This synergizes well with her Unison Forte Circuit, enabling easier switching and optimal team rotation.
- Buff Duration: With the right team setup, you can maintain a 50% attack buff throughout the entire battle.
S4: Future-Proofing and Team Buffs
- Beyond Main DPS: Sequence 4 extends Jinhsi’s role, offering a 20% Attribute Damage bonus to other resonators.
- Longevity: This sequence ensures Jinhsi remains relevant in team compositions, even as stronger characters are released, addressing the common issue of power creep in gacha games.
S5: Resonance Liberation Strengthened
- Massive Damage Increase: Sequence 5 strengthens Jinhsi’s Resonance Liberation by 120%, more than doubling the damage.
- Impressive Scaling: Given that her Liberation skill already scales impressively, this boost can be described in one word: nuclear.
S6: Extreme Enhancement
- Crazy Buffs: As typical in gacha games, S6 is a significant enhancement, increasing Jinhsi’s Illuminous Epiphany resonance skill (E4) by 45%, along with each Incandescence stack by 45%.
- Overall Damage Boost: At level 10, each Incandescence stack already increases her resonance skill damage by 44.54%. This sequence could boost Jinhsi’s overall damage by more than 20%, equating to another fully upgraded echo or even more.
